With my two nieces, Nichole and Christin!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! These are some photos from the Settle Family Christmas dinner. It was so nice to have everyone together. We sorely missed having Dad and Mary Jane with us for the celebrations of the day due to illness; and Stephen and Stanley were enjoying their first [cold] Christmas in Maine---though I stole a couple of Christmas day photos from Stephen's blog for your enjoyment. Enjoy!

Christmas Eve proved to be a very pleasant surprise. Gary made reservations at Bon Appetit on the waterfront in Dunedin. We enjoyed the most beautiful, unusual sunset, while eating a wonderful meal. Though Gary was at a loss for words, he managed to "pop the question".... of course, the answer was yes! Our waitress brought us a nice bottle of bubbly to celebrate the occasion. The evening was just a true-romantic's dream!

We're just about ready for the holidays! This past weekend, we finally decorated the Christmas tree, put up the Christmas lights, and immersed ourselves in a holiday kind of mood! The next couple weeks are going to be a fun mix of visiting. This upcoming weekend, the Nedik family get together will take place at Grams and Gramps' (Gus & Laurie's) house--Gary & Mary and Steve & Donna will converge there, Dana will be there too--minus our beloved Crystal who is in far away Qatar--but Shane & Laura will be coming in from Gainesville with kitty Cortana--even Grampa and Grandma Settle will be there. We'll be missing Pam, Brian, Nick & Matt this year, but we know they will be enjoying a beautiful, white, cold, first Christmas in Idaho, and they know we'll be thinking about them, always...all ways! The Settle side will be celebrating Christmas Day at the Ripley's house. Cindy will be preparing our feast in her new kitchen, which is actually a work of art, this feast will be a meal truly from the heart! Pamella will be coming in this week from Oregon, and Christin will be coming in on the 21st. We're looking forward to a big crowd, along with the Ripley's (Cindy, Christin, Steve & Zachary), the Knight's will there (Joel, Ralphine & Nichole), Pamella will add the spice along with Gary & Mary, and of course Dad and Mary Jane. Suzanne and Walter will be stopping in for the dessert part of the feast....sweets for the sweetest I believe. Though we'll be missing Stephen & Stanley, who are enjoying the cold, cold, cold part of the USA in Maine, they'll be enjoying the holidays with their Dad and Joanne who I know will be enjoying having them there during this time of year. We may even have a couple of last minute guests, like Catherine, or maybe Emily--a crowd is always nice! If I somehow missed something in the haste, I'll be sure to update as often as possible. If you have a holiday photo you'd like me to add, feel free to send it and I'll be glad to share it! Happy Holidays to all!

One for adults......

one for the kids...

The tables were set.
Cold enough, for Florida Gals, to light a fire on Thanksgiving eve.

A "Happy Thanksgiving" with Cathy in Jacksonville, Florida.
